Philidelphia Police Beating
It's hard to even understand the state of mind of Philadelphia police officer's during the time of the beatings. Obviously, there is a history of tension between citizens and officers with two previous cases of police brutality and three officer deaths that year. Although it is difficult to determine what happened in the video of the cops, they did not need to have over three cops to each person being arrested. The video clip of the police beatings seems to be a reminder of the Rodney King case. The chief of police always states that these types of actions are unacceptable, but what type of disciplinary actions will these officers receive?

It seems that these police officers took matters in their own hands and administered a bit of street justice. With all the tension that is built up between the police and citizens, this is not the way to remedy the situation. In fact, it will only make it worse because the video clearly shows how much anger the police harbor for the deaths of their fellow comrades. I think that the police chief and community leaders should come together to find a common median, so that police brutality and officer deaths will not continue in the city of Philidelphia.
The police officers of Philidelphia should have not performed brutality on the suspects. With all the tension and a former lost of a police officer, officers should have used there professionalism and training skills because the use of force only made the situation worse. The video clearly shows the brutality with three officers on each suspect and the beating with billy clubs and kicking. I strongly believe the community and the police department should come together and come to some type of agreement on how to stop it for future incidents.
I agree. The conduct of the Philidelphia PD was not only unprofessional but criminal. What makes things worse between relations with the community and the police department is the lack of sanctions administered to police for such behavior and secondly, that brutality happens at all.
